On May 17th, Our team along with other Baird associates had the opportunity to work with the organization SOLVE (https://www.solveoregon.org/) and help clean up Ivy. This event was part of the Baird Gives Back initiative, where groups across the nation participate in initiatives helping their local communities. We had alot of fun working with The Friends of Baltimore Woods!
Here is some information about the project: The 30-acre Baltimore Woods Connectivity Corridor just west of the St. John's Bridge fills a critical gap in the Willamette Greenway and regional 40-mile loop offering bicycling and walking trails, situated between Cathedral and Pier Parks in North Portland. This unique urban greenway, recognized for its special habitat value to plants and wildlife, faces threats from invasive species (IVY!) and development pressures that could eventually spoil its natural value.
